Check In/Out Settings

Overview

The Check In/Out Settings screen allows you to configure how the check-in/out system works. Set up notification preferences, default return periods, overdue policies, and other operational parameters.

Getting here

Click Check In/Out then click Settings from the sidebar navigation.

What you can do on this screen

  • Configure default checkout durations

  • Set up overdue notification rules

  • Define checkout approval workflows

  • Manage condition tracking requirements

  • Configure barcode scanning options

Review current settings

Browse through the settings categories to understand the current configuration. Each section has a description explaining what the setting controls.

Update settings

  1. Click on any setting to modify it.

  2. Make your changes and click Save.

Note: Most settings take effect immediately for new transactions.

Pro tips

  • Review settings when you first set up the check-in/out system and again after a few months of use.

  • Consider requiring condition notes for high-value assets to track wear and tear.
